Frontier traffic down 9% in October

Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has reported a 9% decrease in passenger traffic in October compared to a year earlier.

Capacity declined by 11%, while passenger numbers fell by 13% to 1.08 million during the month. The load factor rose by one percentage point to 89%.

Mainline passenger traffic declined by 3% against a capacity decrease of 4%, which resulted in a one percentage point increase in load factor to 90%, during October. Passenger numbers fell by 5% to 889,151.

Regional traffic fell by 38% against a capacity decrease of 40%, which lead to load factor growth of three percentage points to 84% compared to a year earlier. Passenger numbers fell by 38% to 187,973.

On a year-to-date basis, consolidated traffic decreased 5%, while capacity was down 8%.

Passenger numbers decreased 11% to 11.2 million, as the load factor grew two percentage points to 88%.
