Guangzhou Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Company (GAMECO) and aircraft spares support provider A J Walter Aviation (AJW) have signed a partnership.

Under the agreement, the two companies will provide loan, exchange, sale, consignment, consumable and repair management services for all in-service Airbus and Boeing aircraft across China.

"GAMECO is able to provide a wide range of line and base maintenance services out of its facilities in Guangzhou, China, and with our rapidly growing component repair capability for Boeing 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft, this partnership will allow GAMECO to be more competitive in the component support market offering guaranteed turn times, access to pool or exchange units and rapid service by having access to AJW's significant spares inventories," says Bill Norman, general manager, GAMECO.

AJW's president Christopher Whiteside says: "The partnership will leverage the guaranteed component availability from A J Walter's significant inventories of more than 400,000 spare parts valued at a minimum of $350 million."
