Garuda Indonesia is installing OnAir's Mobile OnAir and Internet OnAir service on its fleet of 28 Airbus A330 aircraft, which will service routes throughout Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

The airline will start retrofits on its existing A330 fleet in November and have the Inmarsat SwiftBroadband-based wi-fi and inflight mobile service line-fitted on its 11 new aircraft.

OnAir, a joint venture of Airbus and SITA, announced at the Airline Passenger Experience Association Expo that it has solidified its agreement with Inmarsat to be a distribution partner for its Global Xpress Ka-band network, which customers will have the option of choosing when it is available for airlines from early 2015.
