Garuda Indonesia expanded its codeshare with Etihad Airways to six additional destinations in January.

It has placed its code on Etihad-operated services from Abu Dhabi to Frankfurt, Brussels, Milan, Dusseldorf, Munich and Bahrain, says Garuda.

Etihad is also the marketing carrier on Garuda-operated services to Denpasar, Manado, Surabaya, Balikpapan, Makassar, Amsterdam and Abu Dhabi.

Indonesia's flag carrier will raise the frequency of its Jakarta-Abu Dhabi-Amsterdam service from four to six times weekly, starting 21 June.

Innovata schedules show that Garuda operates Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the Jakarta-Abu Dhabi-Amsterdam route. It also competes with KLM on the Jakarta-Amsterdam route.
