Garuda Indonesia has approached the financing and leasing markets with two separate request for proposals (RFP) as the carrier seeks to cover its longhaul requirements for the next two years.
In the first RFP, Garuda is looking for financing for five new A330-300 deliveries equipped with Rolls Royce Trent 772B-60EP engines.
The Indonesian carrier is seeking financing proposals with 10- to 12-year lease terms, according to the tender document.
Garuda operates six aircraft of the type and holds a backlog for 18 more, says Flightglobal's Ascend Online database. One aircraft is due in September this year while next year's deliveries include aircraft for September, October, November and December.
Bids for the financing are due 18 March 2013.
In the second RFP, Garuda Indonesia is looking for longhaul aircraft under a wet-lease and ACMI contract.
The leasing tender will cover Hajj transportation this year from 5 September through 22 November.
Under the terms of the RFP, Garuda is seeking proposals for Boeing 747-400, 767-300ER, 777-200LR models or preferably 777-300/300ER and Airbus A330-200/300 models.
The deadline for the bids is 13 March.
