Garuda Indonesia has taken delivery of a new Bombardier CRJ1000 aircraft on lease from Nordic Aviation Capital.

The aircraft (MSN 19030) is the third of 12 units, which will be leased from the operating lessor.

The Indonesian carrier placed an order for 18 CRJ1000s in February 2012, with options for another 18 aircraft. The firm order includes six aircraft directly from the airframer, and another 12 from Nordic Aviation Capital.

According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, Nordic Aviation Capital will deliver another four aircraft (19031, 19032, 19033, 19034) between end of March and July. Two more will be added in 2014 and the remaining three in 2015.

The operating lessor is rumoured to have secured backing from the Export Development Canada for the 12 CRJ1000s.
