Operating lessor GECAS has purchased from Air Berlin two new 737-800s powered by CFM International CFM56-7B24E engines.

The aircraft (MSNs 37790, 37791) were acquired from Air Berlin on delivery, Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows.

Both have been placed under operating lease agreements with Transavia France.

The transactions follow two similar deals in February and April 2013 involving new 737-800s acquired from the German carrier.

Ascend Online shows that Transavia France now operates 10 737-800s under operating lease agreements.
