GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) signed a sale and leaseback deal with Mexican budget carrier Interjet for six new Airbus A320 aircraft.

GECAS delivered two aircraft (MSNs 5358, 5372) in December 2012.

According to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database, the remaining four deliveries are scheduled for May, June and December this year.

Interjet operates an all-Airbus fleet of 37 aircraft. All six aircraft are the last from the airline's order book with Airbus signed in 2006. In November 2012, Interjet signed a deal with Airbus for 40 A320neo aircraft for delivery starting in 2018.

In February GECAS also sealed a 12 A320 sale and leaseback agreement with Mexican budget carrier Volaris. Deliveries are scheduled through 2014. The first aircraft (5488) closed last month. The next aircraft (5510) is scheduled for March.
