Berlin’s Germania is adding five more Airbus narrowbodies to its power-by-the-hour component support contract with UK-based AJW Aviation.
The airline will add four Airbus A321s and one A319 to the contract, for a total of 23 aircraft covered under the deal.
Germania and AJW Aviation signed the 10-year support contract in 2011. The airline has seven A319s, three A321s and 12 Boeing 737s in its fleet, Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows. The airline also has 10 options for additional A319s.
“AJW Aviation offers the ideal support for our growing flight operations,” says Oliver Pawel, Germania's chief commercial officer. “We are delighted to be continuing and even further expanding our longstanding cooperation with our reliable business partner into the future.”
