GKN first quarter revenue dips slightly

GKN Aerospace has recorded a slight decline in revenues for the first quarter of 2011 compared to the previous year.

Revenue was £352 million ($576 million), down from £353 million in the first quarter of 2010 last time. Trading profit, at £32 million, was unchanged.

In an interim management statement, GKN says that "aerospace markets continued to perform in line with expectations. Revenues were broadly flat and reflected the normal seasonal activity levels".

GKN Aerospace manufactures complex composite and metallic aerostructures and engine products.
