UK aerostructures firm GKN Aerospace has named Michael McCann as the chief executive of its new Engine Systems division, formed after the acquisition of Volvo Aero.

He joined GKN Aerospace in April 2009 as vice president of programmes for GKN Aerostructures, North America, responsible for all programme management operations for the business.

McCann had been senior vice-president of business development and strategy before the latest move. GKN has appointed Charles Paterson to this role.
