GMF to provide MRO service for United Airways

Maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) firm GMF AeroAsia has signed a contract to maintain Boeing MD-83 narrowbody aircraft operated by United Airways.

The Bangladeshi airline is based in Uttara Thana, Dhaka, and operates Bombardier Dash 8-100 twin turboprops and Airbus A310 widebody aircraft in addition to the MD-83.

Agus Sulistyono, executive vice-president of corporate development and marketing at GMF, said: "The position of Bangladesh and India is quite strategic for GMF to develop our market in the region. These countries can become the gateway."
