Gol and GE sign five-year OnPoint services deal

Brazil's Gol and GE Aviation have signed a five-year OnPoint services deal for the carrier's Boeing Next Generation 737 aircraft.

The agreement includes repair services and logistics for all systems offered by GE including various avionics, flight management, instruments and hydraulic systems for the 737 aircraft.

John Jarczyk, general manager of OnPoint programs, GE Aviation Systems, says: "This is the first comprehensive OnPoint Services agreement covering systems on the 737. Gol is a forward-looking aviation leader and they recognize the importance of advanced technology and maintenance services expertise for their 737 fleet."

Viggo Thisted, new technologies project manager, Gol, says: "Gol selected GE for this services agreement because of its successful track record of quality repair services throughout the world."
