Brazilian low-cost carrier Gol will resume flights between Brazil and Santiago in July 2014, more than a year after it suspended operations to the Chilean capital.
The flight resumption is dependent on the airline attaining the necessary authorisations.
Gol suspended flights to Santiago in October 2012, citing unprofitability on the routes. It had operated one-stop service between Sao Paulo and Santiago, and non-stop between Buenos Aires and Santiago, when it nixed the service.
Gol does not say which Brazilian cities will receive the new Santiago service. TAM and LAN operate several flights a day betwen Sao Paulo and Santiago, while Chile's Sky Airline began service on the route on 30 March.
