Gol unit revenues up 8% in April

Brazilian carrier Gol has reported year-on-year growth of 8% in passenger revenue per available seat kilometre (PRASK) in April.

System-wide passenger traffic declined 10.6% in April, while total capacity fell 3.9%, resulting in a 4.9 percentage point decline in the load factor to 66.7%.

Domestic traffic fell 12.7% while capacity was down 6.9%. The domestic passenger load factor fell 4.5 percentage points to 67.7%.

International traffic grew 17.5% and capacity increased 31.2%. The international load factor decreased 6.8 percentage points to 57.8%.

Fuel price for the month was up 2% year-on-year, adds the carrier.
