Brazil's Gol has received approvals to launch flights between Campinas-Viracopos and Miami via Santo Domingo, as well as non-stop service between Campinas-Viracopos and Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont airport.

The carrier will operate the Miami flights thrice weekly, and 12 daily flights between Campinas-Viracopos and Rio de Janeiro.

The new flights will begin on 18 July, says Gol.

Gol's entrance on the Campinas-Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont route will end Azul's monopoly, schedules in Innovata show.

Gol already operates to Orlando and Miami, via Santo Domingo, from Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. It says passengers travelling from Campinas-Viracopos to Santo Domingo will also have the option to transfer to the Orlando-bound flights.
