Bahraini national carrier Gulf Air has signed a five-year, $100 million extension of the Rolls-Royce TotalCare support package for Trent 700 engines.
The engines power its fleet of six Airbus A330s. The previous five-year deal was signed in 2009, says the engine manufacturer.
Gulf Air has been a TotalCare customer for 14 years. Its links to Rolls-Royce date to 1966, when the airline ordered a Dart-powered Fokker F-27 and, subsequently, RB211 engines for its Lockheed L-1011s.
