Middle Eastern carrier Gulf Air has sold two of its Airbus A340-300s, although it has not identified the buyer for the aircraft.

Gulf Air says it has sold the jets bearing serial numbers 39 and 40.

The carrier owned five of the nine A340s in its fleet, but indicated last month that it would dispose of the jets as part of its restructuring.

Both of the CFM International CFM56-powered aircraft are 1994 models.
