Bahrain's Gulf Air is the latest operator opting to open services to Dubai's new Al-Maktoum airport, with a service intended to start by the end of the year.
Gulf Air will operate daily to the airport at the heart of the Dubai World Central complex from 8 December, says the airport's operator. It has signed a memorandum of understanding with the carrier covering the new service.
Al-Maktoum airport has recently been approved for passenger operations and has already attracted budget carriers Jazeera Airways and Wizz Air.
Gulf Air operates to Dubai's main airport, Dubai International, but says it wants to offer an alternative, convenient connection for passengers travelling to other areas of the city.
