Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company (HAECO) has set up a central material support centre that is says will speed up service or spare part deliveries for aircraft suffering technical issues.

“The single-point AOG (aircraft-on-ground) communication platform provides customers with access to a dedicated team of experienced material specialists, on 24/7 standby to respond to critical AOG requirements,” says the company.

HAECO adds that the centre is backed up by its existing inventory management company, HAECO ITM, which can provide components throughout Asia Pacific from its base at Hong Kong International airport. This puts emergency spares within four hours “of most Asian cities.”

“The Group's extensive component repair and overhaul facilities in Hong Kong and Mainland China have comprehensive technical capabilities and access to rotable assets in line-replacement units, landing gears, nacelles, radomes and flight controls,” it adds.
