Hainan Airlines group passenger traffic up by 24% in July

Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines' passenger traffic, as measured in RPKs, increased by 24% in July compared with the same period last year.

The carrier's capacity, as measured in ASKs, rose by 24% while its passenger load factor increased by 0.43 percentage points to 86.8%.

The airline carried 2.34 million passengers in July, an increase of 27% year on year.

Its freight traffic rose by 21% while freight capacity went up by 7.2%. Total freight carried increased by 12% to 23,300t and the freight weight load factor rose by 9.17 percentage points to 81.1%.

The figures include data from Hainan Airlines, China Xinhua Airlines, Chang'an Airlines and Shanxi Airlines.
