China’s Hainan Airlines will inaugurate service between Beijing and Seattle on June 9. Seattle is the carrier’s first North American destination.

Daily flights will use a dual-class, 222-seat Airbus 330-200, the carrier says, until it receives its Boeing 787. Hainan’s 787 will have a seating capacity of between 184 and 215.

No carrier currently links Beijing with Seattle, according to Innovata.
