China’s Hainan Airlines plans to introduce service between Beijing and Seattle, pending US regulatory approval.

Daily flights will begin in June using either 233-seat Boeing 767-300 aircraft or 222-seat Airbus 330-200 aircraft, the carrier says in a US DOT filing.

Eventually, Hainan will use Boeing 787-8 aircraft on the route. The aircraft will have a seating capacity of between 184 and 215.

The airline says it recently accepted delivery of its first A330-300, and expects to receive six additional such aircraft.

No carrier currently links Beijing with Seattle, according to Innovata.
