Hainan Airlines plans to expand its codeshare agreement with Russian carrier S7 Airlines, starting 30 March.

The expanded codeshare will cover Hainan-operated services from Beijing to Hangzhou, Irkutsk and Urumqi, and on S7-operated Urumqi-Novosibirsk service, says the Chinese carrier.

Both Hainan and S7 began codesharing on 17 October 2013.

Flightglobal’s FlightMaps Analytics shows that S7 serves Beijing from nine eastern Russian cities, and on the Novosibirsk-Urumqi route. Hainan Airlines operates from Beijing to Moscow, St Petersburg and Irkutsk, and from Manzhouli to Chita and Irkutsk.
