Japanese investigators are inquiring into a hard landing by a de Havilland Canada Dash 8-200 during a training exercise at Nagasaki.
The aircraft (JA801B), operated by Oriental Air Bridge, had been performing a series of take-off and landing circuits on 12 February when, on the fourth round, it sustained fuselage damage, says the Japan Transport Safety Board.
Oriental Air Bridge says there were no injuries among the crew, which comprised a captain and a trainee pilot.
But it states that it has had to adjust its schedule, to account for flight cancellations and delays resulting from the event.
Flightglobal's Ascend Online database shows that the 13-year old turboprop involved is one of two Dash 8-200s which comprise the Nagasaki-based airline's fleet.
