Hawaiian Airlines will add a third daily year-round flight between Los Angeles and Honolulu from June 2012.

Hawaiian had previously offered this flight on a seasonal basis to accommodate peak summer travel demand.

The growth of the airline's long-haul fleet allowed it to add this third daily flight on a permanent basis to better accommodate the strong demand in southern California year-round, said Mark Dunkerley, Hawaiian's president and CEO.

The new service will add more than 70,000 air seats annually between the two cities, the airline said in a statement.
