Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Takaya Shishido as country director for Japan.
In this new role, Shishido will be responsible for leading the company's Japan sales team as well as overseeing all sales initiatives in Japan.
Shishido spent the last 26 years at American Airlines in a variety of positions including those involving reservations, account management, leisure and group sales and military and government sales.
Most recently he was American's corporate sales director for Japan.
Shishido's position is a new one, created as Hawaiian adds service on 25 June to its fifth destination in Japan, Sendai.
