Hawaiian traffic up 26.7% in September

Hawaiian Airlines posted a 26.7% increase in passenger traffic in September compared to a year earlier.

Capacity for the month rose 30.5% while the passenger load factor decreased by 2.5 percentage points to 81.7% during the month versus September 2011.

Passenger numbers rose 10.1% year-on-year to 761,633.

On a year-to-date basis, passenger traffic and capacity increased 18.5% and 19.5%, respectively. The airline's load factor declined 0.7 percentage points to 83.7% compared with the corresponding period last year. Passenger numbers grew 8.6% to 7.07 million.
