German financier Hessen-Thueringen Girozentrale (Helaba) is the debt provider in the new Boeing 737-800 financing facility for operating lessor AWAS.

The aircraft (MSN 39440) is the second of two aircraft covered by an operating lease transaction with Canada’s Sunwing Airlines.

The first 737-800, delivered in March, was financed by AWAS through its JP Morgan Chase warehouse facility.

The operating lessor signed the $500 million, five-year, non-recourse warehouse facility in June 2011.
