Operating lessor AWAS has financed a second new Airbus A320 delivery through a limited-recourse commercial loan with Hessen-Thueringen Girozentrale (Helaba).

The financing covers a three aircraft mandate by the German bank to AWAS.

The aircraft (MSN 6081) was delivered on 25 April to Spain’s Vueling. It follows the delivery of another new A320 (MSN 6045) on 1 April to the IAG-owned low-cost carrier.

The remaining aircraft, part of the financing facility, is scheduled for the next week.

The A320 is the fifth aircraft placed by AWAS under an operating lease contract with Vueling.
