Wizz Air has received delivery of its first aircraft this year; a new A320-200 (MSN 5021). The deal was financed through a sale and leaseback agreement with Hong Kong Aviation Capital (HKAC) and is already in service.

The Hungarian low-cost carrier received two other A320s on sale and leaseback from HKAC last year, according to Ascend's data. Each A320-200 is powered with engines manufactured by International Aero Engines.

HKAC declined to comment on the matter and Wizz Air could not be reached for comment.

Wizz Air is expecting a further 11 new A320s to be delivered this year. FlightGlobal reported last year that Wizz Air had mandated Avolon to carry out a SLB deal on three of these aircraft, scheduled for delivery in April, May and June 2012. According to the terms of the agreement, Wizz Air will lease the aircraft back for a minimum seven year lease term.

It has not been disclosed who will be financing the remainder of these aircraft.
