Donal Boylan has been named new CEO of Hong Kong Aviation Capital (HKAC), with immediate effect. Boylan replaces Mathis Shinnick who was named CEO in May 2010.

Since July 2009, Boylan has worked closely with Hong Kong Aviation Capital and its shareholders. From 2004 through 2009, Boylan served as the head of Aerospace & Defense at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Boylan's prior experience includes 20 years of significant industry experience in technical and commercial roles at GPA Group plc, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), and RBS Aviation Capital.

HNA Group Co. (HNA) and Bravia Capital say the appointment of Boylan, and additional commercial leasing executive appointments to come, is re-positioning the company for accelerated acquisition and international expansion.

Hong Kong Aviation Capital expects to acquire up to 25 additional aircraft in 2011. Seven new Airbus A320-200 aircraft have been finalized and three have recently been delivered to Wizz Air and Indigo Airlines.
