Honeywell and AVIC to jointly design engine pumps

Honeywell and Xi'an Aero-engine Controls, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China, have inked an agreement to jointly design and produce aircraft engine pumps.

The two parties will complete the design of the first set of pump products by 2013 and plan to achieve airworthiness certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration a year later.

Production of the pumps are targeted to begin in 2014.
