Honeywell will provide Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) to China Southern Airlines for its forthcoming Airbus A320 aircraft, and also supply APU materials, spares and service for both the new A320s and several other aircraft in the carrier's fleet.

The contract is worth more than $65 million and covers a total of 192 aircraft.

China Southern will use Honeywell's 131-9A APU on 20 A320s slated for delivery during the next three years.

The 10-year supply agreement covers the incoming A320s, 36 existing A320s, 71 existing 737s and 65 737s on order. China Southern and Honeywell in 2000 inked a maintenance service agreement (MSA) covering Honeywell 331-500 APUs featured on the carrier's 777s.
