International Airlines Group (IAG) has posted a 0.7% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic for January.
The total number of passengers carried by the group rose by 5.3% year-on-year to 3.79 million.
Capacity fell 1% at the parent company of British Airways and Iberia, while passenger load factor grew by 1.3 percentage points to 77%.
The group's premium traffic increased by 2.7%. Non-premium IAG traffic rose by 0.3%.
Iberia recorded a 10.3% decrease in passenger traffic during the month against a capacity fall of 7.3%, while freight traffic declined 17%.
BA posted a 5.1% rise in passenger traffic and 1.3% growth in capacity. Freight traffic was down 5.2%.
