IAG traffic up 3.6% in November

International Airlines Group (IAG) posted a 3.6% increase in passenger traffic in November when compared with the same month in 2011.

Total passengers carried by the group rose by 7.4% year-on-year to 4.17 million.

Capacity grew 1.2% at the parent company of British Airways and Iberia, while passenger load factor increased by 1.9 percentage points to 77.2%.

The group's premium traffic grew 4.7% and non-premium traffic increased by 3.4%.

BA recorded a 7.6% increase in passenger traffic during the month against capacity growth of 3.1%, while freight traffic grew 1.7%.

Iberia posted a 5.8% decrease in passenger traffic and a 3.5% decrease in capacity, with freight traffic down 13%.
