Ethiopian Airlines is to introduce two-class Bombardier Q400 turboprops to its network later this year.
The airline, which ordered additional Q400s in February, is to configure the new arrivals with 67 seats including seven in business class.
Typically the Q400 is fitted with a single-class layout of around 78 seats.
Ethiopian chief Tewolde Gebremariam says the initial aircraft will be taken into the fleet in September.
It will have a hot galley capability and extra lavatory for the additional cabin.
Gebremariam says the Addis Ababa-based airline, already a Q400 operator, wants to use the type on routes within a two- or three-hour radius.
