Iberia is launching cargo flights between Madrid and Brussels this month, as well as extending its Madrid-Gran Canaria freight services to the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott.

The Spanish flag carrier will operate twice weekly flights on the Madrid-Brussels route, while the Nouakchott link will be served once weekly. Both routes will use leased Boeing 737F freighters.

With the addition of the new services, Iberia's annual cargo capacity will expand by about 21% to 60,000t.
