Iberia will cancel 118 flights on 29 December due to a second day of planned strike action by its pilots' union SEPLA.

A total of 36% of the carrier's flights on that day will be cancelled, including 10% of its long-haul network, 38% of its short- and medium-haul flights and 43% of its domestic services.

Iberia was forced to cancel 91 flights on 18 December, the first day of the industrial action.

SEPLA is protesting the creation of low-cost subsidiary Iberia Express, which is scheduled to begin operations at the end of March with an initial fleet of four Airbus A320s.
