Iberia Express reaches 2m passengers for first nine months

Iberia Express has carried more than 2 million passengers during its first nine months of operation, the airline's latest traffic results show.

After beginning operations on 25 March 2012, the carrier now ranks among the top five airlines operating out of Madrid-Barajas Airport.

It recently took delivery of another two aircraft, bringing its overall fleet to 14 Airbus A320s.

The Iberia subsidiary has codeshare agreements with Iberia, LAN Airlines, Qantas Airways, Air Berlin, Japan Airlines, American Airlines, Avianca, Finnair, British Airways and Siberia Airlines.
