ICBC Leasing has ordered International Aero Engines V2500 engines to power up to 20 Airbus A320 family aircraft it has on order.
Under the $430 million agreement, the V2500s will power 17 aircraft on firm order and three options, with deliveries to commence in 2015.
“We are very pleased with the success of lease placements for our previous V2500 order,” says Cong Lin, president of ICBC Leasing. “This engine fits in well with our goal of being one of the top lessors in the world.”
Flightglobal’s Ascend Online database shows that ICBC has 77 A320 family aircraft on order, and has a mix of V2500 and CFM International CFM56-powered aircraft in its fleet.
