Budget carrier Iceland Express is intending to open six more routes next year, nearly doubling the number of destinations to which the airline operates.

It will operate to Paris Orly, the Norwegian cities of Oslo and Bergen, as well as Basle in Switzerland and Eindhoven in the Netherlands. It is also planning to open a link to Billund in Denmark.

Iceland Express already serves Copenhagen, London Stansted, Hahn near Frankfurt, Alicante, Berlin Schonefeld, Friedrichshafen, Gothenburg and Stockholm.

Its new routes will be introduced in May and June next year. Iceland Express also connects Copenhagen to the Icelandic city of Akureyri.
