Icelandair has introduced into service its first Boeing 757-200 retrofitted with Aviation Partners Boeing blended winglets.
The Icelandic carrier and Continental Airlines were the launch customers for the modification, which involves fitting 2.5m (8ft) winglets to deliver up to a 5% block fuel improvement or 370km (200nm) of additional range.
