Icelandair's leasing arm has contracted Danish wheel and brake repair specialist TP Aerospace to support a current-generation Boeing 737 operated by Air Niugini.
Loftleidir Icelandic, a subsidiary of Icelandair Group, signed a flight hour-based maintenance agreement for the aircraft, which has been leased on a long-term contract to the Southeast Asian operator.
The MRO deal covers wheel and brake maintenance, spare part pool access and logistic support.
The services will be managed by TP Aerospace's headquarters in Copenhagen. Spare parts will be provided from the company's Singapore stock, which is located in a warehouse run by German logistics group Schenker.
