In-flight entertainment specialist IFE Services has appointed Shankar Velusamy as technical sales manager.
Based at IFE Services' US operation in Lake Forest, California, Velusamy will play a key role in developing IFE Services' business in the North American market and meeting the technical and content needs of its clients, says the firm in a statement.
Velusamy began his career at Rockwell Collins Passenger Systems, where he was a lead software engineer and project manager before moving on to Panasonic Avionics as an account manager.
For the past four years he has worked for Thales Avionics, where he was a research and development working with airline clients to design and architect their applications.
IFE Services provides PlayStation portable IFE systems to airlines. UK holiday carrier Thomson Airways recently became a client. The carrier is making PlayStation portables available to passengers for hire on selected aircraft operating from several UK airports.
