Wells Fargo Securities says the recent ILFC's order for 33 Boeing 737-800s will see some deliveries using DAE Capital's slots.
"We speculate that some of the early 737 delivery slots became available following the January cancellation of 32 737s by Dubai's DAE Capital," it writes in a research note.
ILFC announced the 737-800 orders with deliveries starting in 2012.
On the Airbus memorandum of understanding for 75 Airbus A320neos and 25 A321neos, Wells Fargo Securities says it is not surprised by the NEO order as a replacement for the A380s. However it had expected the lessor to take some Airbus A350s, as part of the deal.
"We thought A350s would have been part of the mix," it writes.
Wells Fargo Securities adds that the A380 cancellation is hardly a surprise, as it is a "poor leasing asset" due to its narrow operating base.
