ILFC appoints Habayeb as CFO

International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) has appointed Elias Habayeb as its new chief financial officer, effective 11 May.

Habayeb will report to Fred Cromer, president, and will lead the company's financial operations including treasury, insurance, accounting, and enterprise risk management.

Most recently, Habayeb served ILFC's parent company AIG as senior vice-president for investments and financial services.

In addition, he served as CFO of AIG's financial services division from 2005 to 2009. The division includes the aircraft leasing unit (ILFC) along with capital markets, consumer finance and premium finance operations.

Prior to AIG, Habayeb was a partner in Deloitte & Touche's capital markets group.
