US-based lessor ILFC completed 281 lease transactions in 2013, including both extensions and new leases of aircraft from its portfolio.
This represents 39 more transactions than in 2012, when the lessor executed 242 lease transactions. In 2011, it closed 296 transactions.
Last year ILFC also acquired 38 aircraft, sold 40 units and committed another 14 for part-out.
It placed orders for 165 new aircraft in 2013.
“This past year represented a strong performance in our aircraft placements and further underscored ILFC’s unique ability to provide best-in-class strategic aircraft fleet solutions to our global customer base,” says chief executive Henri Courpron.
In 2013, ILFC enhanced its regional presence by expanding offices in Dublin and Singapore. The lessor now serves a network of approximately 200 customers in more than 80 countries.
