Russian lessor Ilyushin Finance is still discussing a potential acquisition of 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100s, having reinforced its commitment to the Bombardier CSeries.
Ilyushin Finance general director Alexander Rubtsov tells Flightglobal that a deal for 20 Superjets is being negotiated, although he does not give a timeframe for finalising an agreement.
The lessor signed a preliminary pact for 10 CSeries during the Moscow air show in 2011 but its revised agreement for the Canadian twinjet covers 32 firm aircraft and options on 10 more.
"The deal for CSeries has been finally signed and [is] waiting for shareholders' approval," says Rubtsov.
Ilyushin Finance's broadened agreement is based entirely on the CS300 variant, rather than the CS100 which had formed part of the earlier commitment.
