Indian airlines carried 5.02 million domestic passengers in the month of November, a 10.2% increase compared with 4.56 million in October.
IndiGo had the largest market share of 27.3%, while Air India had a share of 20.7%. Jet Airways captured a market share of 18.3% and its subsidiary JetLite had a share of 6.9%. SpiceJet and Go Air had market shares of 19.5% and 7.4% respectively.
Kingfisher Airlines did not operate any flights during the month.
IndiGo carried the highest number of passengers with 1.37 million, while Air India came in second with 1.04 million passengers. Spice Jet carried 978,000 passengers, while Jet Airways and its subsidiary JetLite carried 917,000 and 345,000 passengers respectively.
Go Air and Air Mantra carried 373,000 and 300 passengers respectively.
The number of passengers carried by domestic airlines for the 11-month period ended 30 November fell by 2.94% year on year to 53.4 million.
